Well that is the stated max output so these will likely be much less than 150mW. Have you emailed the seller for an exact output measurement? i love around the corner so i am thinking about it.

No, I haven't contacted the seller at all.. From the description it sounds like they're a salvage company and probably wouldn't have the means to test the output. Still, if you only got 5mW out of it, and only one of them worked, any argon is worth a lot more than what this action is going for.

Jumped up $20 in an hour to $31. Shipping is also $76 to me here in Maryland. It's in California. Maybe one of you CA member could arrange a pick up.

They've got lots of hours on them. I was considering buying them, but I can't risk the money right now.

Is that number in hours? Because the number of hours is OVER NINE THOUSAND! :D

...but seriously. Minutes? Hours?

EDIT: Mm, they're labeled "hour" meters. Guess that means it's in hours.

Yep.. If you do the calculations, they've pretty much been running since their manufacture date. I'm not all that worried about that, I'm more concerned about how long they've been in storage without being run.

The hour counts were extremely high so that seems to be a reasonable price that they were sold at. I'm sure the output has seriously degraded, but maybe they'll still work.

True dat!

Plus -- now the new owner has to find or build a PSU and controller for them.

Peace,
