I've only bought from him once.
Every time i would bid on his items, i would magically get outbid at the last second, and then he would send me a second chance offer for my max bid.
I believe he later got into trouble for shill bidding.

I did end up taking him up on his offer, which turned out to be disappointing.

Inconsistency is a scammer's best friend. By keeping everyone off balance by offering stellar service to one buyer while ripping off another, you get the outcome seen in this thread when the topic comes up rather than a continuous stream of complaints. That way you can rip people off and still maintain some sort of customer base. It's about longevity and immunity to consequence.

That gets a seller blacklisted in my books. I'd love to see a registry of ebay shills who practice that behavior. Actually I'd like to see the whole "second chance" bullshit outright disabled, but you'll never see that from eBay.

Thank God I got out bid on all but 3 items, which I got for $10 a piece with $5 fees.
#1 'CO2 laser head'....very little information on the unit but i'll see.
#2 FAC lens lot....really wish I didn't win this one, the more I read , the more I realize I don't have the equipment for an install...(if anyone does PM me and they are yours)
#3 A..looks to be...lab style, perhaps 9mm TEC with anamorphic prism pair

So for $35 plus shipping I got the prism pair, perhaps a 9mm TEC diode mount(new445:shhh:), and perhaps a working CO2(????). Not bad I guess, still I'm happy that I lost on most of my bids.

I guess I'm the sucker here - I ended up with about $240 in stuff.

Lets see if any of it is as advertised ;)

The absurd thing is that I ended up with like 1,500 diodes.... If 2% of them work, I'm laughing. So let's just hope for a 2% success rate....

Now I need to find some 9mm diode modules, and some simple C-Mount rigs.

So far I have sucker high on this.

$320.00 plus the 18%.

BUT, I got the DPSS 100mw blue. a steal for what I paid, which was shown working in the pics and worth a lot more, assuming it arrives ok.

and I bought the 3mw hene which again, assuming it arrives in one piece and not lots of glass pieces is a good deal.

Finally I got 18 2W 808 c-mounts for $10.00 which is a steal.

I really wanted the one with the 4 c-mount reds that 532 with Envy was bidding on, but I didn't have time to catch it before bid ran out because I was at work, busy.

I tried to bid on those but it got away before I noticed, how many trays did you get?

So far I have sucker high on this.

$260.00 plus the 18%.

BUT, I got the DPSS 100mw blue. a steal for what I paid, which was shown working in the pics and worth a lot more, assuming it arrives ok.

I do not suspect those pictures were taken recently.

Although not as relevant now that the auction is over, I should mention my experience on previous auctions with heruur has been great. Personally I have nothing but good experiences with him. However I find it hard to ignore the large number of people who have had bad experiences. I really wish I could have bid on some of the items, but I did not want to after reading all of the negative comments.

Again, I have never been "ripped off" by heruusciences.

he has always sent me what I ordered and it always worked. In fact on a couple things he sent me more than I ordered and gave me a better price. I'm trusting in my past experience on this bid.

What I'm really worried about is getting it from there to here in one piece.

It's not a large number of people that are complaining, just a few very vocal ones and people who love to bash. Most of the people complaining were rival ebay sellers who got sick of me selling things for more than they were.

I have been around for a few years, Chris. I have seen you post this "explanation" before. I have no idea what happened on eBay. However, for the people on the forums that complain about you, this statement was untrue the first time I read it. It is untrue now.

Peace,
dave
