I purchased these marbles from the same site. It's awesome crackled and non-crackle. I have a total of 3. PM me if you want a crackle one. Willing to give it off for someone who desperately need it. ($9 Shipped in US)

LMAO $9 shipped??? A small flat rate box is under $6. :na: Regular snail mail is even cheaper. It would be under $2.

I happened into a number of the smaller ones a few years back, the radiation output is very low, barely measurable with a 6993 tube Geiger counter. I'm sure they would register much better with pancake style thin mica window probe.

Look in their store, they also have LUSTRE, and OPAQUE
vaseline items - Get great deals on Vaseline Marbles Glass items on eBay Stores!

I'm not familiar with these at all, but I am building a 405nm laser, would one or the other be better than the matte?

Not the opaque. I have about a dozen 1" of those. They shine AROUND the marble but not through, because light doesn't travel through it.

I'm guessing on the Lustre and the Matte that it is just the finish on the outside but that they are both translucent. It appears that way in the picture on ebay site.

I'm thinking he means with the marble. If so, that's not too bad. Shipped, you are looking at about $5.00 each U.S. plus add time to crackle it (easy, but some may not want to do it.) plus shipping to them $2

Not trying to make money off of anyone. Just doing a favor for someone who doesn't want to wait for international shipment. Shipping should be under $3, so essentially it's $6 a pop. That seems fair.

Anything yet???

I just bought 10 1" clear ones from my supplier. The quality is not great though. They have some air bubbles, and forming defects on the outside.

Received today 5/7/11

Here's what they look like. They crackle fine and look great. Lots of little bubbles, though it doesn't matter if you are crackling them.

I put a 5/8" crackled in with them for reference.
