No bids- may be relisted- I won a similar one(confocal microscope) from Calf. and got the seller to take out the head, PS, fan and remote controller interface and told him to scrap the rest IIRC== saved a lot on shipping.

I believe so. Bob, hope what happened in Fl doesn't effect them, besides the case being messed up. Oh, and have you started messing with those LIDAR units yet?

The Genomyx LR DNA Sequencer was a total wash, no argon was found in it. The Prism 377 is going to have to wait for a later date to be dismantled, as the cabinet damage has jammed the rear cover and I don't want to damage the internals being too hasty.
I have one of the LIDAR units running and scanning the sky over my machine shop ;-)
Bob

Yeah. The Genomyx DNA sequencer comes with two separate components. The Genomyx "LR" is only the "growing" component. You need the "FL" component of the Genomyx system.

On the 377, the laser and PSU comes out the front. The laser is at the bottom. The laser PSU and the 5V/24V PSU are about mid height. I think you can get the fan out the front as well (bottom rear). Out the rear of the unit you will be pulling parts of the fluid recirculation system.

Bob is the man. He doesn't post much on the forum, but he knows like everything there is to know about lasers. I wish I could +rep you more bob. Maybe others will.

I appreciate your kind words Bryce, but I certainly do not know everything there is to know about lasers. I don't think there is any one person that can truly make that claim.

I know bob, it was just an expression :)

You should market these

Most of the people that buy argons from me, need them.

Thank you for that information Dave. I figured the Genomyx LR might be good for parts, even if it did not have an argon in it.

Well, you DID get a humungous squirrel cage fan out of it, right? ;)

Well I don't usually build and sell products. I'm not a marketing type person, I'm more into research and engineering. I usually design things and then let others manufacture and sell. The stuff that I do end up selling on eBay are usually prototypes that I built for my own use, and end up not needing anymore.
Bob

Well then, would you sell me one so I could see if I could make copies of it (or at least make a schematic/drawing of it) for my customers?

Peace,
dave

Daguin, the power supply interconnect wiring is available on Sam's Laser FAQ, and is how I made the control box for my Uniphase argons ;)

I know. I send the links to people all the time. However, you have to remember, I am a speech teacher. I have no formal electronics experience. I am horrible at turning a drawing into a construct. I'm very good at replicating a 3-D object or system or at tracing down where the current stops flowing, but I suck at going from paper to components.

Peace,
dave
