Re: S-KY new PGL-300

Betty ---

This looks like a good deal on a 300 mW green. I do have a couple questions however............
As you recall, I got a S-KY 150 from you and I've noted that when cool - 65 Deg F, it can output ~200 mW for a time. Now that the weather is warming, I'm noticing a drop in power as it warms up. The following graph is in two parts. The first half (run 1) is with the laser warmed to near body temp in my pocket. Note how quickly the power drops off from peak to 40 mW. You can actually see it happen.
The second half (run 2) is made after 20 minutes at 65 Deg F. It holds power of ~ 175 mW but drops again to 50 mW. This has been the nature of this laser since I got it.

I would like to get the 300 but I'm concerned that this may have the same temperature problems as the 150 mW model you sent me. I don't want to keep my lasers in the refrigerator so I can enjoy a short time of rated power. Will this 300 give full power in warm weather?

Has anyone received a response on a PM from S-KY? I've sent three PM's and none were answered. Bill
