ya my scanner driver is mounted on the opposite side next to the scanner, scanner mount and motors are different (cheaper in my eyes) and the board that dip switch is connected to via the ribbon wire ( has a 15k 7c sticker) is mounted upright,, and my ILDA board seems like a newer model, and my 445nm is 300mW instead of the 200mW in the review ( hence the overpowering of blue in the pics) I posted a thred in the Reke group about wanting to upgrade the Red and the green > http://laserpointerforums.com/group...rs-group/reke-upgrade-scanner-diodes-198.html

I'm trying to purchase a Reke 500RGB from Lasersman.com with coupon code RekeHS. The code works and price in cart is $263.83. Problem is...next step is shipping and it gives you three choices with the cheapest being DHL at $55.99. They advertise Free Shipping to United States but I don't see this option and can't get past to complete purchase. Any ideas? I have sent an email...awaiting their response. :yabbem:

I had a similar problem when I went to buy the SL-1 from lasersman. I'm guessing that only handhelds/pointers have free shipping. If it is just an error though I would buy that SL-1 in a heartbeat, but >$100 is too much for a single 30mW laser projector.

FYI: I tried the other coupon code of HZLMfb15 with the same result of $263.83 at Lasersman.com.
Still awaiting clarification of shipping....

Not yet. I ordered a cheap green from them to test them as a potential site, we'll see when it arrives. I know that others have ordered a lot of things from them, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of info or references on them like there are of the other chinese places.

Yep, LPM is en route right now (LaserBee), I expect it to arrive before the laser does. I picked up some generic looking $15 30mW green in a 16340 host with a finned head - if it had a name I'd name it but it doesn't!. I mostly figure that even if the module is completely dead (I don't expect it to be though) I'll use the host for something nice. Most places sell those hosts for $16 so no loss at all.

Negative Ghostrider.

For the handhelds, there is no guarantee that they will be up to spec or last very long.
If you go with lazerer, o-like, or Rayfoss you have a much greater chance of gettting a very good laser, especially at Lazerer (power guarantee). :san:

Ah, that is what I thought may be the case. As I said before, I'm just considering it a discount host + "free stuff inside!", haha. If it works... great! If not, no biggie.

Jess...I used that one with same same result. $263...But then, in checkout...you have to choose a shipping option...the cheapest of which is around $55. This brings the total over $300. I think this is a good price for this machine. But...the site advertises Free Shipping. I can wait...
