I totally agree. This should allow more "AAA" size hosts to be used with safer batteries.
As per the size, if you check the discussion someone estimated it to be 1mm longer than usual 10440 batteries. You can't always count on DX's measurements though.

Oh and Dave, I got your modules. I have one of them replacing the broken LOC in my altoids laser. Thanks for the good transaction :).

Holy shit you don't know how happy I am that you posted this. I am literally ordering a pair now!!! If these are the same dimensions as the regular unprotected ones then the old ones are going to be run over with my car, then thrown down a sewer! I HATE the unprotected ones lol. Seriously, thank you Jimmy.

Edit: Just ordered one pair. How long should it take to ship to the USA?

There's only one bad thing about those "protected cells", I copied & pasted this from the description on DX Product print '600mAh', the exact capacity is 350mAh
350mAh's isn't much.....rob

The unprotected ones are the same thing, and they last just fine, at least for what I use them for. I already ordered a pair so I will let you all know when I know.

Man, I ordered these on Nov. 15th, and as of this post (Nov. 22nd east coast time 8:19pm, which is Nov. 23rd, Mon. morning in China) these things still haven't shipped.

On 11/15/2009:
Waiting for Supplier

Is DX run by sloths or something? :(

Whenever I order anything from DX, I just put it out of my mind. Like I sent my order to a black hole. Then, 10 weeks later when it arrives, I think, OH YEAH ! I remember ordering these & it's a nice surprise. It's the ONLY way I can deal with the snails pace of DX'S shipping methods.......... rob

I'm actually starting to lose interest in wanting these batteries. If they don't ship in a day or two I'm going to cancel.
