That's the second one he has, I bought the first. Cant wait to get it.

I think this is a good deal. 5 single mode blues, for $100 + $20 shipping. That works out to $120 / 5 = $24 each.

Not sure I've ever encountered Nichia single mode blues before, and the listing leaves a bit of detail to be desired.

That guy has had them listed for quite a long time, although they were previously listed as Osram, which would make them the PL450B.

got mine today. if anyone else has one and wants to get the tube out, there are 4 screws on each cover under the sticker. then you have to unstick the PSU from the bottom, its double sided sticky taped in there.

Edit: btw, if you get one and are taking the tube out, either wear a glove, or short the tube (anode? cathode? whichever it is) out to the case, because i reached my hand in there all willy-nilly in excitement and got myself a nice big jolt. be careful

double edit: k. do yourself a favor and dont touch anytihng metal on the tube when its running or after its turned off. i went to remove a fiber from the mirror while it was on, brushed against the metal...zap. AGAIN. ahkjrhakjhsa so tired of shocking myself

That's really nice.. I still want one with more plasma visible though so I can make a lamp.. I rarely see them on ebay.com.au though.. No one over here puts hene's on ebay.. You guys are spoiled with choice!

Yea, i would like a larger tube to make a lamp with at some point. but having this is good enough for now- now i just have to decide whether or not to pull the trigger on a multi line or not!

I say any high power gas is a pain in the butt unless you have a specific use for it. They have to be run
every couple weeks to keep the tube in shape and put out lots of HEAT which is bad right now in the
middle of summer. I've had to run mine outside in the daytime because of the bugs, so it's harder to see.

I'm 99.9% sure it's 405nm. You can tell from the pics of the dot. Way too violet.
