Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

I was messing around with some of my lasers and I decided to try color mixing.

My 125mA 405nm + 400mA 650nm = Hot Pink?!

So I am thinking I should get an RGB unit. Took a look on ebay but there is just so much. I think I recall someone mentioning one they enjoyed around here but I can't remember when or where. So if anyone knows of a good one(needs to be very affordable because I just dropped lots on hosts and a 520 diodes) I would be interested in hearing the details.

I would like it to be able to do a good number of colors if possible.

Thanks,
Isaac

Well, I just managed to get 2X CR123 batteries for 6 bucks. Not too shabby. Now, I can buck something...

There ya go! Yeah, I bought like 6 CR123's. Gotta keep lasing, no matter what! And at 2.80/pc it is a really good deal.

wannaburnstuff: Don't get Laserlands. They've proven themselves incompetent with their mislabeling -- and defending -- of their 445nm lasers as 473nm lasers; their prices are also worse than the competition. Check out Techhood's stuff. They're generally cheaper than the competition and the shop does a pretty good job in general. I'd prefer one of those lasers with the 638nm laser in it, because then you'd get more red out of your unit than the 660nm variants. You can also try swapping out the laser yourself.

Has anyone seen this UltraFire host laser build yet? That's a pretty good price for 2.3W of 445.

2 3W 445nm Blue Laser Kit | eBay

DONT BUY THIS, READ THE EDIT!!!!

just looks like they bought THIS kit and built it

EDIT: DONT BUY THAT LASER!!!! this is the same guy who was selling the 2.5W USB Laserbee as new that bloompyle was bidding on (few pages back) but it had already been bought and returned to the seller by another member and the senor was all trashed! look at his other items for sale, esp the 638 or 650 laser, then look at the lens. yup that laser is barely used. i asked him about that laser a few month back and he said it had like 15 minutes of run time total on it. ill try and pull up the info about who returned the LPM and my question/answer from the seller. BIDDER BEWARE!!!!

Thanks LL. I wasn't planning on bidding on it, but you certainly did others a service. I will pay more attention from now on as to the seller's items, background etc. One more reason this permanent thread is valuable.

Im not saying you cant bid on it or that it is in bad condition but based on his LPM that he sold and the red laser, I wouldn't bid. Funny thing is all of his other items havent sold either. Looks like they keep relisting them. Im just saying bidders beware and do a little research on the seller. You cam find the lpm discussion in this thread a few pages back

Thanks :D

I wish I had seen it before ordering two new chargers elsewhere... :banghead:

Now I'll be able to charge 20 batteries at once though. Going to keep one in the office, one in the car, and the rest at home.

The price on the Armytek Barracuda is also unbeatable.
