Ok I've done what I can..

Driver V-in = 3.74v (bench supply)

Driver V-out = 2.88v

Current at tailcap = 881mA

All readings taken on HIGH mode.

Couldnt get photos & use multimeter probes at the same time sorry.

I love bench supplies. It even tells me how much current is being supplied. I need to get a smaller one for portable operations though.

Their rated current is like 2.8A if I remember correctly, so that's probably <200 lumens.
What's it like at 3.2V? 4.2V? Is there any point where you raise the voltage and the current doesn't rise as a consequence? (i.e. in regulation)

Yeah I think he mentioned he was bidding on a LB 2.5W, could be that one.

The LPM work great but the bad is the calibration in a real lecture of 310mW the this LPM reads 327mW.

the calibration may be off due to the burnt sensor, poor care of the unit, TEC head abuse, etc.......only way to know for sure is sending it to Jerry for re-coating which will run $30 and then he has to re-calibrate it which is $50 so in the end that costs you ~$100 plus the cost of the unit. which means ~$200 and you can get a brand new updated 2.5W USB LB for $216 PLUS iirc $25 refund back from the original $216 cost.....

@ MARC about the eba listing for an as-is XJM-140 'broken' kasio--

the seller was asked for details by Marc AND me & so far he has not replied- strange also that he has NO bids???


I asked yesterday a few Qs that would have told me a lot and depending y=upon the answers if it had been already taken to harvest- I also asked the seller to post more pics- they are free so why not?? I think we already kniow the answer to that
he is hoping to get a sucker to pays a couple hundred for an empty PJ

While you are not obligated to reply you would be breaking the selling rules of Ebay if you are being dishonest even if this is by omission- many (like HUNDREDS)of casio projectors have had the diodes removed. This is not something that is hard to discover by you. If you just gave me honest and complete answers to my questions I would be able to tell you if the diodes are not still in this casio.

If I had won this auction, and the diodes were gone, I would be taking full use of the buyer protection and you would have no say in me getting a full refund including the overpriced shipping you are asking- I have paid as little as $10 for shipping on these and since this projector is apparently already broken it really can't get much more broken..If I am all wrong about this I will owe you an apolegy but I think I will not need to do that... will I?

Hak and i have the same approach to eba listings. if you dont give me the info i need when i ask about it i will hammer down on you and make you give me the info. nothing makes me madder than asking for info and the seller avoiding it like im going to forget the questions i asked or be like oh thanks for the info. BS, just be straight up and stop trying to scam people. GRRRRRR EKBAY and all the scammers!

Let me go by saying that it is a FEDERAL crime to send one of these outside of the US. So that being said this has already passed the US boarder therefore nobody can get in trouble . Not to mention it is quite uncommon to find these outside the US. MIlasers used to sell full SSY-1's but no longer does.

These are really cool lasers and EXTREMELY dangerous. So I would recommend you already have GOOD glasses that can protect against 1064 lasers. This laser is also Q- Switched and CAN pump huge amounts of energy into a KTP to get green
