ryans, thanks for that find. didnt buy the black 501b but one that ive been looking for and has been ridiculously priced everywhere......cant wait to either use it for a build or swap hosts.

It's usually cheaper to find the latest "12mm shaft support" search deal on ebay. For example, here it are 2x for ~$4.30 + $1 shipping (free for additional items) -- about half the price.

THANKS BB- I nearly paid too much for some of these- I have four coming- at <$10 shipped for all --I cant lose.. I will review them when the get here (Mar 12 to 21)
+rep when system allows- I must do some spreadin' around first.

Those shaft-supports are pretty nice, and you can use more than one of them to increase the stability and heatsinking of longer modules such as a 532nm green modules for pointers.

I have a feeling the first bidder has his/her heart set on it-just a gut feeling and what HeNe this is.
I nibbled just a little( I hate nibblers anyway) and gave up on that.

nibbler-- ' Some A-hole that only wants to see your max bid placed by you. Once he finds that he bids no more- you can see there 'nibbling' by clicking 'see automatic bids'

BTW Ebay just LOVES nibblers- some prolly WORK for ebay-- just one more reason I don't go thru Ebay to place bids- screw FeeBay!!
The more profits they make the more GREEDY They( ebay & Pay(too much)Pal are the same people)become.



still 6 days to go so bidding now or even in 5 days is just plain dumb. Only ONE bid counts- bidding early is bidding against yourself- using Ebay to bid at ebay is not the way to win and pay the least amt. I almost never bid at ebay and yet I win and only pay the bare minimum needed to win. When I dont win..- the price was over what I wanted to pay and the winner is often also somebody who does not bid in auctions and yet wins-

- UMM? what do they and hak know that I do not?? ha ha

it's likely dead. orange, yellows and greens have a shorter life than he reds. if it IS out of alignment, i think there is little that can be done. They is no alignment that may be done on most of those tubes, since the mirrors are epoxied in.

^ ^^ you are very likely correct- but DAMN its an orange HeNe!!
I could still add it to my sig- few here have one- maybe less than 2 or three..

we will never=( most likely) know if the 'winner' was a loser or not.
Maybe my string of bad luck has ended. And I can always put it =back up o Ebay for the next who wants to try.
