The batteries in most meters are to power the amplifiers and the meter electronics. You can actually read the values off directly if you have a galvanometer or something like that.

Keep in mind that you'll need external optics if anyone buys it. IIRC the divergence will be about 20mrad with a super tiny beam, so you'll have to get a beam expander.

It is actually a 445nm, a question was asked about it before HERE.

I think you're right. The seller had three ALC-60Xs with PSUs for sale. They were beauties. The auctions ended early. Send the buyer a message and make an offer. I bet he'll go for it, especially if he can byass ePayphees.

On some auctions- once there is a bid the BIN goes away- thought being that they will get more than the BIN price, I guess.

did anyone see that yellow HeNe 2mW that went for ~$152- No PS- and of course there is no telling high much higher one would need to out bid the winner-
he got a steal IMO.
hope he is a friend..
