Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please

Found this Scientech 380101 LPM head and I'm very interested in buying it. Datasheet says it's good from 10uW to 10W but does not mention how to read it or even if it's calibrated. It has 4 plugs so I'm guessing I need to supply power to the lower ones and read the voltage on the top ones.
Does anyone here have any experience with them?

QTY30 Panasonic NCR18650B unprotected Battery Cell 3.7V 3400 mAh

Current bid is $122.00 and has 1day 20hrs left and free shipping. Right now thats about $4.00 a battery which is not to bad... these might be worth getting but we'll see what the price gets up to.

Yeah I wish I had 270 to throw down as my highest bid that's only $9 each. With less than 2hours left it's just sitting at 221 at only 7.37 each! That is half the price I have been seeing this battery sold for. The seller also had the same thing for a buy now for 359+5 s/h.

Instead of group buys what about group bids lol. I am still kinda new here but have people ever done group bids. For example I will use these batteries... You would want a group of 3 or 5 people which would give each person 10 or 6 batteries. The group decides on a maximum bid for the bulk item. If the item is won for the highest bid amount decided on or for less than they will split the cost and item equally. Of course one person would be the designated bidder and would have to front the cost but within 24 hours the other group members need to send then their share plus s/h... I feel the person that fronts the money should get the benefit of not having to pay towards the shipping to the other members but do have the responsibility of taking the items to the shipping facility. Let's say for the batteries a group of 5 is formed and agree on a max of 270 and it is won for 250. That means each group member owes 50 and get 6 batteries. The 4 members that didn't front the money will owe an additional 5 for s/h .

I apologize if this is something already being done here I just have not seen it and I kinda like the idea.

I spent a little over $220 on batteries in the last month... had this deal come along before, fair chance I would have bid on these instead... I have a feeling they will come out quite a bit cheaper vs what I paid. Lowest I've seen them, is basically $9 a battery.

I think there have been group bids in the past... although that I suspect happened more often is someone grabbed them, and just resold them at a minimum markup and shipping.

Problem is shipping adds too much, at least that was my experience with buckyballs.

Yeah I can see were you would encounter possible problems. Thanks for the 1st hand experience before I attempted it.. You changed me thought about group bids. Well 8 minutes left and it's at 242 which is good for someone who has a little money to spend!

Hmm, well, somebody made out ok... not super great, but definitely at least ok.

The main problem is reshipping... for something like this, it would work if two people are splitting it, maybe three, after that, cost and hassle of reshipping, will outweigh any benefit from price.

Hello,
I've found few interesting things at Canadian auction portal (GCS):
NdYag, 10W Argon and others. It might be interesting for somebody...

There's some 500$ spectrometers on ebay at the moment for anyone looking to buy.

Ocean Optics USB2000 Optical Spectrometer UV Vis | eBay
Ocean Optics USB2000 Spectrometer w Mono Fiber Fob Cable Overture Software | eBay
Ocean Optics USB2000 Spectrometer | eBay

I had my eye on this one when it was in the 300$ range, I was hoping to get it for 500$ or under but then someone bid for more than they originally sold for

^^Just as precaution. Make sure any ocean optics spec comes with the software activation key. I called them, and they will not release the activation key unless you are one of their "customers". I was very close to getting a used ocean optics spec, and even though the software is a free download, it will not function without the key!

Get the key from the seller!
