Hi, Len. Where is the listing for a the 1 watt 532nm laser? What are they asking and does it work?

Zak has not posted a second item yet. I do not think he is in a rush and we have suggested he take his time.
I see no reason for anyone to NOT make him an offer on the 1W

.. some forum members may get with him and check these out and meter ..like LSFAQ Steve(Akron) and Kecked (Cleveland IIRC).. Skyping has been mentioned. He replied about hazers/foggers... 'have not seen any'

you can sub option that thread or just post in it and you will be subbed.. I was not planning to post every item/pic. Just bringing it to your attention.

What would you consider a reasonable price for it would be? I just got a 1.3+ watt 532nm labby for $250.00. Is this one going to go for substantially more than that? Is it worth it as a used unit? I'd like to make an offer, but don't know that much about this particular system. :thanks:


Edit: I got my cylindrical lenses today. All three of them. And, yes, they are glass. Got my nano driver too. I have tracking on the hosts I'll be using for my 477nm blue and my 502nm green. I'll need to get one more driver. I found an adjustable boost driver on Innolasers website for $19.99, but when I went to pay for it the shipping was over $5.00 for a driver smaller than a postage stamp. Needless to say, I didn't buy it.

used to be.. for good (but not the best) 532s at $1 per mW.. but things have changed.. search 'completed listings' at Greedbay for '1W 532' and see prices paid for several (hopefully)-- this one, if in unused condition would IMO be higher quality-it has TEC. and looks like it has spent 99% of its life in that red bag.


one very much like this, at JETLASERS was $750.. has same style PS/driver with Amp control and read-out. At one time is was >$1k.--but that is brand new and for-real 2 yr warranty and JLs outstanding service.

Is it looking now like Zak is waiting for offers? I just got back on line..

My 1.3+ watt labby has TEC temperature controlled crystals and diodes. It has a divergence of ~1.2 mrad and an M^2 of 1.1. It still cost me $250.00. Do you think the used one that Zak has is worth more than that? IDK, that's why I'm asking.

PL isn't a very good forum for laser pointer hobbyists, they don't seem to even want to have mention of them at that forum.

There was a guy over there that died recently and his heirs are talking of selling a bunch of lasers and laser related items. It is on that link to PL. Thought you might like to know.

Nice stuff, that's what happens to our goodies when we die, sad. But a far better end than someone throwing the stuff out, or having some arse take advantage of someone for not knowing the value, that happens all the time, there are too many individuals who are damn happy to take advantage of someone who doesn't know better, loads and loads of them, I bet 75% or more of the population will do that, if given a chance.

I try very hard to never do that. I have, in fact, told people that were selling something that they were asking far less than it was worth. IDK, I guess it is the way I would want to be treated.

Which forum did you link to Hak? :confused: Linking to PL has never resulted in a ban here as far as I know. It isn't exactly a competing forum, it's more focused on projectors and lab lasers. Not to mention there is far less traffic there. Not bashing PL of course.

Nope... they don't like pointers over there, although most of them have a pointer or two. That said, they have good reasons for not liking them - and they know what they're doing too. Many of the folk over there make a living from doing laser shows and unsafe pointer use can result in tighter restrictions on lasers in general, so they'd rather not see that. US regs are already rather tight compared to elsewhere.

It may come off as some sort of superiority complex, but I don't think that's what it is, at least for most people over on PL.
