I know that many people don't like a lot of these ebay lasers but I found some of those polished brass/golden lasers for $40. I'm pretty sure they run off the A140s, and I've had two at 1500mWs and 1700mWs. I think they're nice, and I'm gonna see if I can extract the diodes from 2 of them for personal builds

they might be able to fit one of DTRs 20mm heatsinks inside, but I'll have to wait till I can measure them.It say's it take 2 18650's? On the reviews some claim its way underspec and another claims 1 battery is an extra for charging while the other is in use?The host was longer than I had expected, but still not large enough for good heat sinking. I'll get some proper measurements when these new ones get here. I've tested these before and got power ratings of about 1.5-1.7Watts. But I'm not getting them for the A-140s. I'm really interested in placing a red diode and a green diode inside. I think that they would look great with those colors
Looking closer at their pic's you can see a seam in the host that you don't notice first couple of glances.From my experience with them, they tend to have 2 sections for the batteries, but one could easily be removed so that only one battery could be used. I have always got them with the 2 sections though. And yeah, they fit two 18650s

It does though sure make it look like a decent host to try 20mm of sinking

When are they due?I truly do love those lasers and they are really well polished
I'm going to place a high powered red and a high powered green in them once I get my two
