This might be a good deal except that they are limiting the current to less than 500 mA, so the pump diode is probably a 500 mW one and the 100 mW claim is probably over rated. If they used a 1 watt pump diode I might actually get interested in it.

It could have been a damaged unit as to buy them new you would lose money.

I would love to find a high lumen economy unit with that much light engine, but I doubt it, 10 of those diodes would run an economy 3500 lumen unit with 1 red led, this has to be out of a bigger unit, probably from a damaged unit.

NOW this 08 says tin pins, so it either came with a board to be used by an OEM or it's a pull, the lens looks different, maybe it's the angle?

NOPE It's the same lens, these diodes should be 20 dollars or less as they are handicapped, some of the 06 have a pretty good lens, but this 08 was awful, the spot was 50mm x 75mm at 5 meters.

The seller of the five bank PCB claims these are new and never used. I imagine it was made for a particularly large projector. My guess is this is the only one since they don't say anything about quantity.

could this be a 471nm diode am thinking if its a 471nm it could be pushed to 480nm ?

The data sheet states the wavelength is 455nm to a maximum of 471nm. It is typically a 465nm diode and I doubt it can be pushed anywhere near 480nm.

They " NUBM08 " are a lighter blue than our 445nm classics, but nothing like the NUBM07, also there's that problem with removing the lens and its flashlight like output, I had the idea of popping the lens off 1 diode and affixing it to the intact duplicate to reverse the beam back to it's emitters size output, possibly trimming the end of the can so our G2 can get in tight on the sweet spot....do you think it would work?

You know if the idea of getting a 488nm laser is eating at you, there are still single line argons out there. It is a very nice aquamarine color.

Yeah but I want one over 50mW in the size of a pen or a small flashlight host that runs on one or two 3.7V li-ion batteries
