I read something interesting about ebay auctions, if the price starts very low, the end bids are about 30% higher, on average, than if the item were priced mid range. The reason is due to the interest which is generated with the low price, people tell their friends or just become interested in the item more when they think they can get it cheap and end up paying more.

Some LIF machine 488nm lasers - all Ar Ion as far as I can tell:

8142 Beckman Coulter Lif Laser 488nm Laser Module | eBay

Beckman Coulter LIF Laser 727620 488nm Laser Module

Beckman P Ace System Laser Lif Module 488 Lif 727620 30 Day GUARANTEE | eBay

Assuming they are working they'll be ~20mW single line (488nm).

And a 25mW multi-line from Junktronix (For anyone that doesn't know, he's reputable and knows his stuff when it comes to lasers!):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDSU-Multi-...991747?hash=item1a1ac0c943:g:pRQAAOSwdIFXyLfA

Expensive, but it comes with everything you need to pretty much plug it in and go. And it's tested, which is somewhat rare with eBay listings... Lots of other interesting things if you search through Junktronix' listings - including a 50mW 561nm OPSL lab unit made by Coherent (Hope you've got deep pockets... Buy it now is $4,250...)

Edit: More finds!

Coherent Innova 90 - Unknown Condition - looks decent - Bidding starts at $77, potentially a great deal. Could be Ar or Kr or Ar/Kr - doesn't say.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coherent-In...854349?hash=item281fd6ac4d:g:b8MAAOSwGYVW~IBJ

And an Innova 70 - Untested - Potentially a good deal if it's working. Again, not sure on gas mix.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COHERENT-IN...513155?hash=item41b1d6b783:g:R9oAAOSwMzVTw3g1

Lot of 3 untested Coherent LPMs - Could be a good deal, they look to be in reasonable condition.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-3-Co...242029?hash=item3f6a5a4b2d:g:lMEAAOSw8oFXz0H1

A little Q-switched, lamp pumped Nd:YAG. Stated as working.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coherent-Pu...240487?hash=item5b2a45c927:g:x0sAAOSwxg5XzM~2

And another - apparently with no Q-switch:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coherent-Pu...699893?hash=item3acb3a5135:g:5N0AAOSwgmJXxGYC

A big KTP.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIANT-7mm-C...309944?hash=item4d4a6f9af8:g:-eMAAOSwi0RXzb7J

For large frame ion lasers I always suggest inspecting them in person before purchasing - check that they are gas intact, see how many hours are on them. In the case of some Coherent heads check and see how many ampoules have been broken.

Thanks Diachi, one of the sellers you listed had this: 6 New Laser Optics and Mounts x Y Adjustment Polorizer Reflector Perhaps | eBay

I bought it, know what I can use it for, but don't know what it was, any idea? Maybe IR mirror, but those look like lenses or perhaps a polarizer as the seller said, but I don't know how a polarizer would need to have X-Y axis adjustability, do you?

Here's something... Looks like these folks in the UK are selling lots of various prisms, lenses, splitters and other optics in lots for a descent price. In the listing it also says they are throwing in a red diode (no word on the make of it).

If I didn't have so many other things going on I would make sure he had one less lot to sell!!!

RGB LASER 30 optics first surface DICHRIOC mirrors beam splitter lens cube 405nm

The whole lot(s) can be had, and shipped, for about $45 American tender, 35 GBP.

EDIT: BTW, for those that find this... these things are tiny, DVD sled proportions.

I saw those a couple of weeks ago when he had a photo of something I knew the size of, they sure appeared tiny to me, like removed from CDROM or DVD drives.

I was thinking the same thing, reminds me of a recent bdr-209 extraction adventure I had. It is hard to guage size sometimes without having something known to compare to, especially when the seller doesn't give size measurements.

Look at this on eBay Lot 3 Small Electronic Switch Locks with Mounting Nuts Keyed Alike Electrical | eBay

Just wanted to post this and let you guys know they work great for tail cap key switch mods. I use them on the C6 hosts and 501B hosts.. you can bend one prong over to contact aluminum(add some solder if needed) and bend the other down on the protruding tab (solder spring in if want to) and you have a decent key switch mod. Oh and you have to cut the wires off, under the black shrink is just tabs almost identical to how a 301 laser is in the tailcap. Will get pics if anyone would like them.

I use a plastic o-ring I custom cut from polypropylene sheet extruded at work, surely you guys can find stuff to use as well... the key and nut will work anyway but you need a spacer to keep the switch from turning during use. An o ring and piece of plastic works great.. enjoy!

Interesting, still waiting to hear back from the seller:
Coherent Radius Lasers 635 NM 405nm 375nm One Lot | eBay

A bunch of Coherent Radius lasers, some broken, but there are 3x 375nm units in the lot. Their rated output power is 8mW, and if the seller would take a lower offer, it may be a good deal. I asked how many of the 375nm units were working, and yesterday he said 2, but he wasn't sure and would check on them. Now in the auction it says some of the lasers have blown diodes, which is alarming, because whatever killed those could have damaged the others. When he replies back I'll ask him where he got them. I've wanted a 375nm pointer for a while now, but I'm still waiting for the right deal.

Not a bad price, Alaskan, if it turns out to be legitimate. Wonder just how "rare" it really is.

That's been posted for a long time. I'm pretty sure that it is what he says. Judging from the size, it's probably worth every penny too as it is probably a very nice hydrothermal crystal rather than a common 'cheap' flux grown KTP. Hydrothermal crystals are far superior and much more expensive.
