Nice find!! I love the "gift" host lol. Not a bad deal at all for a 50mw 520, I wonder if it will be overspec? Where at on the page did you happen to find that coupon code?

It was a special coupon code offered by ePay, right below the "free shipping" and "new condition" boxes. I wasn't able to see it on another ePay account so it may have just been random. :undecided:

Well, it's different from the normal Thor M-II host, as it has 4-fold symmetry rather than 6-fold. I haven't seen it on other eBay lasers.

I am looking for the biggest industrial LED's I can get, but these look like fun to play with for 6 dollars. Several could be mounted on a large CU or AL sink, a bit of wasted space around it, the led and driver without the fixture mount should be cheaper by the bunch, if anyone finds raw parts before I do please post, I want to build a monster floodlight.

Red/n2- I have had alot of fun playing around with the 100w version, but was always wanting to bite the bullet and purchase one of the 500w chips. I couldn't even imagine how much heat that thing would generate.

I have not personally tested the nubm05 yet but supposedly they are a Gballed 7a75.

Still these seem like a good deal if you want one for that unique build.

https://youtu.be/3Pi-LKf0hXIThis video doesn't really give a clear comparison to the 100W, but it does give a sense of an intensity difference between a 100w and 500w (at least the cameras view). IIRC the 100w can give out around 3000- 6500 lumens depending on the chip quality. And I couldn't even imagine what 5x the lumens of my 100w chip would look like at night!

I wouldn't expect more than 80lm/W for a device like this, even with good cooling, so 40k lumens on a good day.
