Can anyone tell me if these tiny 520nm mirrors are suitable for knife edging, being that they are round?

No, they won't work. You can maybe cut them in half and use resulting flat edge, but I suspect they'd then be too small.

Get an old document scanner from a thrift store. They have 2-3 long first surface mirrors that can be cut to many squares with a glass cutter. $5 for >30 mirrors.

I suspected the round edge was a problem, thanks for the tip.

now i'm regretting joker's group buy...

Yup, I think that is the general consensus. We paid about 12.00 too much. I felt at the time like there was a limited supply. Looks like it's pretty common now. Maybe the price will go back up. I thought these were limited supply and not being made anymore.

Please post your results once you test it out.

I found this and want to bid on it, ie...first dibs: :shhh: It seems like a good deal for both the tube and PSU if I can get for less than $50: Melles Griot Helium Neon HeNe Gas Laser Tube 5V Power Supply 632 8nm Red Beam | eBay What do you think/

Also, I suspect this might be a good deal..1.3 mw for $25. Just get a PSU NEC or Toshiba He NE Laser Tube from Laser Disc Player Tested Working Cond | eBay What do you think?

I also found a beam expander but I think they won't go on bare tubes.

2 3V Green Laser Diode GDL 7050A | eBay

Very high quality green dpss module, can do around 100mW if properly driven. Listing also contains specsheet. I would like one myself, but I need to get rid of another green module first

Have you had one before? I think I may get one. I have a handful if blitz linears left that would be perfect for these. If someone buys one and does some power test on it, I may give you a cookie (or if you prefer, a blitzlinear :))

Although I may definitely be wrong, I was under the impression that the diodes in thejoker's GB were from an earlier run than the common Osram PL515 diodes, therefore potentially of lower wavelength. Once I get mine I'll do some spectro testing.
