Overpowered cheap 5mw DealExtreme greenie

So I bought this laser from DX because being an American means that I can't get good lasers from China as easy as others. So wanting to get into the laser scene, I figured this would be an excellent start for only $11.
I got it and I thought: "holy sh!t, this is REALLY bright for 5mw". Then after reading multiple threads and posts on here (you are all very knowledgable and helpful), I have come to the conclusion that this laser is way overpowered.
I don't have a way to measure it, but my amatuer opinion is that this might be more around 10-15mw. I can slightly see the beam during the day. These pics do no justice for it, they were taken with my cell phone.

This is a good deal for anyone looking for..........a good deal.
Only thing that sux is that it's DX, expect a month for shipping to the US. But you can always claim it broke and get a free replacement.

No kidding. My buddy used to do that with DX with everything he bought. He would always claimed it broke to get another one for free. Then one day they denied selling him anything. They cut off all sales to his PayPal account and his shipping address from DealExtreme.
I wasn't trying to say that I do that, just saying that's how some people roll..............I do too much business with DX to risk losing that source of cheap electronics.





Waiting on my 2 "5mw" blu-ray lasers from eBay (supposed to be more around 30-40mw). And still waiting on ledshoppe 50mw green.
