I'm sure almost everyone and their mother has heard of newegg, but for all you guys wanting to try some of those DIY red torches, this is the place to get your DVD burners to harvest the diodes. Most of them have free shipping, the ones that done have like 5 bucks for shipping, and the costs are bargain basement prices.

Recomentdation: Pioneer 112D, 34 bucks shipped and from what I hear its easy to take apart and has a good diode.

However, its all pretty cheap so do what you want, experiment, and post your results in the Experiments and Modifications section for all of us to read!!

Man that figures...I paid $71.08 a few weeks ago for two of them including shipping. :'( $60.00 would have been a very good deal.

Now somone needs to sell the diodes from the 20x like that one up there, From what i hear they are hard to get out, To bad they are they can go up to 300mw with proper cooling i might try harvesting that one tho.. its 27 dollors.. just hope i dont break it.
