I might save up for the 150mW if it really holds up to it's 150mW name.

It's not even an "RPL" knockoff. It's much smaller than an RPL. Based on the video you must need to have the aperture within .5 cm of the plastic bag to burn it. My CNI 100mW 532nm portable will melt through a black bag across the room. Something doesn't look right about that video. Maybe when they get their "laser measuring device" they'll find it's not a 50, 100, or 150mW.

Oh, and by the way, I love marketing. They did leave off a bit that would, of course, never make it into their marketing materials: "No IR filter for maximum output, because we are too cheap to apply the proper coatings and filters to our lasers." They are not the only company to apply such marketing. I've seen people on this site get suckered in when a new "marketing statement" hits the hobby. I even lost a sale from a client when they believed the marketing of another company. They came back a month later asking if I would give them a discount because they spent their money on the other system and didn't have enough to buy one of our systems that would do the job right. So I asked if we should bear the mistake when they could have had done it right the first time. Amazingly enough they though we should. So I lectured them on personal responsibility for mistakes made and sent them packing. After the call I sat there in stunned disbelief at the utter ignorance of some people.

or maybe, they are using a lower powered laser like the 50mw but focusing it.

These lasers are probably rated by peak output including IR. It is a common tactic used by cheap Chinese laser makers. You can probably expect the 150mw version to put out around 60-100mw of actual green and the rest will be IR. I would advise people to wait for someone with meter and an IR filter to measure one of these before buying one.

L ;DL A DX 30mW cuts faster than that. They should of at least sped up the video :p

They even used two sets of hands to stretch it...
