I found the host for $2.00 at szwholesale.com and my heatsink ( a aluminum cable collar)at ace hardware for under $2.00. I am running a rockstar driver set at 380ma and a long can diode. For the power i ran a 7.5 volt duracell photo battery. It burns black laminate on my desk. It took a little finess but is a very nice small laser. I hope my image was resized correctly. having trouble finding a program that allows me to resize pics easily.

This is for the site. You have to look in the flashlight category to find them. There are three different styles. Just a FYI, i put the flashlight up against a mini mag with the three led option and this unit blew it away. Especialy with a 3.6 volt battery. The mini mag with led option was over $20.00.

I did find out that if you right click on my pic and click view image it shows a good pic.

Thanks, Skylight

I want the link for that flashlight, I just can't find it.
And also for the heatsink.

What i did was go to the site and searched fx-gl-037-44. there are three different styles and can be found by using all the same digits except for changing the last two digits to either 42 or 55.

There is no site for the heatsink. I just went to Ace hardware in their nuts and bolts isle and found them in the trays. All they are is a clamp that is pressed over small steel cable to create loops on the ends. I have attached a pic.Right click on the image and select view image for a better view. I used a 12mm drill bit for the center. I did have to take a little off the outside but was easily done by running a 1/4 in x 3 in bolt through it and putting it in a drill press and using some 80 grit sandpaper around it while it was spinning.

Thanks, Skylight

not bad bro, i think im gunna go to home depot and find me a nice heatsinkish chunk of metal and lathe the hell out of it. my NEBO CSI build has an offbeat diameter, no one on LPF makes a heatsink this size. unless someone would take me up on the offer...

I am hoping to get my lathe up and running soon and would welcome your needs. What exactly do you need. For a l lot of my builds i went to a machine shop and had them make my heatsink. I got them in a day which was nice since patience is not my best friend. I have paid as much as $40.00 for one to be made which is for my 6x blue that should be here today but usualy around $20.00. For the 6x i am using a small sun for the host and the heatsink fits all the way in the host. This is a nice host because the head can be slid in and out so it can be adjusted as needed before it is set in place. I can send pics if you want.

Untill they are re-sized... Right Click on a Pic and choose "View Image"
and it will re-size on your screen... then click on BACK in your browser
to get back to the thread..

BTW... nice small and inexpensive host for your build...:yh:

Bigger pictures please ;)

That is so funny.

Those pictures are enormous. Use Google Skylight and find a free picture editor like Ifranview. Well Ifranview is a free viewer but it has plugins and think there is an editor.

Heatsinks

Nice laser, great for someone on a budget.
I can machine custom heatsinks, I work for cheap or laser diodes. I have a thread in buy/sell/trade.
