Heard back from the seller. Originally they thought my iPod was at fault, sent them a video of it mucking up on the VGA dock too, and now they're contacting Microvision about it. Yay
Ah OK, slightly different version to the showwx. Uses DLP projection instead of raster scanning. Performance is still roughly the same, maybe just a smidge duller due to the DLP chip. Then again, DLP projection is usually not as harsh on the eyes in terms of flickering.
Just a warning, if you have a laptop or something with a bodgy power supply (Ie, it'll zap you if you are touching ground), then don't use this projector while it's plugged into the wall, or you'll fry it. Some strange reason they don't include any kind of protection against that.
Hey guys, if any of you have ripped your projectors for the diodes, and still have the PCB's intact, please let me know, I might be interested in purchasing it from you to try and fix this projector.
I've contacted rhd and he seems to have lost his, so just thought I'd ask here
