Gas lasers like this one run without worry about duty/rest cycle- no batteries to ever replace- great beam quality. Nicer color too IMO.- everyone should have a gas laser or two.

Was that for real? A HeNe laser w/ power supply for $29?? Huh? I've never seen any HeNe going for that cheap. Unless it was for a 0.000025mW or something. The ebay item isn't coming up anymore.

I would not have posted it if it wasn't real. The buyer got a great deal

HeNe's come in several other colors. Red is just the most common (by far)

I've got a bare-tube, green HeNe listed at the link below

I wasn't questioning your honor, Sir. I'm just surprised at the price. It's ads like that (w/ low prices) that make me think it's a scam or something. I mean, a HeNe laser ready to go for $29?? It's almost unbelieveable.

NP. If I sounded too abrupt, I apologize. I didn't mean to sound "in your face" about it.

Peace,

HeNes are cheap if you're patient (for small tubes anyway) they regularly go for $20, even complete ones. Sure you can easily spend a lot on one, but they can be had for much less if you keep an eye out

I got a small uniphase a while ago which cost me about $30 total for the tube and psu but have since sold it

Patience is the key to eBay. If you want the really good deals, you have to wait, watch, and be willing to lose a lot of auctions.
