I was looking at lasers on internet, so I found the website "DHGate". I don't know it but, I was'nt going to buy anything. It was worth a look.
Looking for "Laser" I found many things, but on the middle of the list there is:
1500mw 532nm Green Laser Pointer
I read 1500 and I think with myself "wtf? a typo" (in portuguese :p)
I clicked it, and read somethings.
here is the link: 1500mw 532nm High-power Green Laser Pointer adjustable star ...USD 136.64/Piece Wholesale Price at DHgate.com

I spoke with the seller on the live online chat, I saved the chat and attached to the thread (the file name is on portuguese, it is the date of the chat, as the format is HTML, it is zipped)

anyone knows that site/seller/laser-model? if it is at least 1w, I think it is worth buying, yep?

Need your collaboration, guys. Thanks

Heatsink is too small, the runtime would be five to ten seconds before you had to turn it off. And, with a single 18650 as the power supply, you'd see very short runtimes, factoring in ~30% efficiency (which is being very generous) You're looking at about a 4W pump diode, meaning over four amps of current draw, a dangerous drain on lithium-ions, and even on LiFePO4 cells would give you a very short battery life, maybe twenty minutes or so if you're lucky.

yeah, I was thinking about the heatsink and the pump diode right now :(

>hakzaw1
the '666' is product unique, I think
something like his 666th product, as other products has 'jerry578' for example. :)

>all
the pictures are a little misleading. would someone with a actual 1500mw green laser be able to photograph the 'match lighting' time? I think it would like just TOO fast to take a picture...
well well... someone readed the chat?

That's probably the power of the 808nm IR LD driving
the crystals....

There is no way that laser will output 1500mW of green. It's a lie.
Read up on how DPSS lasers work.

YEAH! you got it. maybe someone can get 375mW with a 1.5watt pump diode (being 25% the crystals efficiency rating). It is pretty good, tho.

already know how a dpss work.

I don't think that it will even be close to 1w, maybe 150mw if that.
That's pretty cheap for 1500mw, I would have to see it checked with an LPM before I would beleive it. The only handheld that is 1500mw that I know of is a 445nm DIY.

there are many powerful handhelds out there, but with 'monstruous' heatsinks (search DTR 'Frankenstein' here on LPF haha :p)

>all
I just posted this because the seller didn't lied on the chat; he said that 1.5w is manufacturer rated, and the seller resides on china.
do I need to say anything more?

Sounds like Wicked Laser style advertising to me. I highly doubt you will actually get 1500mW outta that laser. I suspect the other posters are correct and it's being pumped by a 1500mW IR, but the actual green you will get outta that in the end will be far less than 1500mW. I wouldn't believe it until I had it on hand, pointed at an LPM with a filter on it :).

Haha, thanks :)

It should be in stock this week, provided that the postal system hurries up and delivers some parts we need.

If you need parts fast....
For electronic parts and enclosures and Heat Sinks (similar to the
LaserBee)...DigiKey delivers the next day...;)

YES I have seen DTR's frankenstein and its a blue not a green, if you notice I said "The only handheld that is 1500mw that I know of is a 445nm DIY." Basicly I was saying that I haven't seen a 1500mw green!

CNI makes a 2W 808nm portable laser, it is actively cooled like the Hercules and is the same size, it is marketed through and sold by LaserGlow as the Scorpius Pro-D.
