Having a up-to-spec laser isn't necessarily a bad thing. People might want lasers that are safe to use for children!

Yes, that is a very good point.

Some, however, may say just like toy guns, a 'toy' laser could begin a chain of events that ends badly. I have never felt that any laser is a good 'toy' for youngsters especially if they are not taught that there is no laser that is eye safe.

But I have seen many so called adults do stoopid stuff with handhelds and they should know better. One common big mistake is to assume any laser that is not extremely bright will be not a dangerous one- perfect examples or of course IR lasers and many 405s 'look' harmless but that is far from the truth.

I will not be sending mine back to china because they are all so overspec..

;)

I got a letter from customs today saying they have seized a >10mW laser, seeing I haven't ordered any lasers that weak I can safely assume it was the gift, sorry but I will not be able to do a review, I was really looking forward to getting it, this one would have been my first green laser :(

I can however say that they most certainly sent the laser and would have arrived in the past few business days, so order away they will be sent but be warned that like any laser being imported there is a chance of confiscation.

Also I have ordered 3 of their ~$13 200mW 650nm lasers all arrived with in 2 weeks and they are awesome, now I don't have a LPM but I can compare it with a 244mW 660nm laser and they are dimmer then my 244mW one so my estimate would be between 140 - 200mw for the three, so for the money it is a total steal

Well got my little pointer today. :thanks:

Im assuming the laser was shipped on the 12.01.2013, as that was the date of the invoice. The date on the packet was in Chinese...;) If it was shipped on the 12th it would suggest that shipping took approx. 2 weeks, which would be very good.

I must say the laser looks cheaply made, but at $2.39 you cant really complain. I was quite surprised however, at the functionality of it. I knew it had a built in LED's, but I hadn't realised that the wheel on the front selected different diffraction gratings. So I was pleasantly surprised. :) The switch is also great (on/off clicky style), which cycles through the Laser and LED modes.

Unfortunately I don't have a PC here, only my mac, so I cant use my Laserbee LPM.....:(

I'm pretty certain the diode is 650 nm and if compared to a cheapie 635 I have, which outputs 4 mW, it seems a little brighter. You can just the beam in a very dark room, so I am guessing the output is between 10 - 15 mW. So all in all, a nice little laser at a good price.

Here's a beam shot pic. Thanks Laserfans.

Edit: LPM up and running and metered 6 mW, so lower than I thought...

Hey man, your lasers seem really professional and decent.

I would like 5mW 532nm Open-back Kaleidoscopic Green Laser Pointer Pen (2×AAA Included)

In return I can write a long reviews, as I have experience writing reviews as I have wrote several.

Thanks!

shame, looked really good.

When in doubt about such offers don't post--- just PM the OP.
you really need to
1) full out your personal profile-
2) go to the 'Welcome' section and see how a proper first post should read.
.. hopefully you will make one- and then read the advice from the greeters and check out the links they will offer.

you did not miss out on much..

the best buys are 'used lasers' from other LPF members.. not ebay..or china laser shops
