I think the "real" bucky balls are 5MM. Might be cheaper because they are 3MM.

Good news on another front too. I spent a bit of time looking for the best price possible on a dollar to ball ratio. Ended up ordering these:

They are not quite as good as the ones from bucky. Both the quality of the finish, and the magnetic properties are inferior. That said though... you will be VERY hard pressed to tell the difference. I mixed two sets of these with my buckyballs without caring in the least.

Considering these sets are 216 balls vs 125, the price is excellent. So if anyone is looking to get some... do so before this seller raises prices. I will be ordering another 2-10 sets myself.

One note though... they come in a vacuum sealed pack... which to me makes no difference at all. If you want the tin, they charge an extra $2.

Considering the guy created two threads to troll me, "diagnosed" be with a mental disorder, used any number if expletives, and supposedly spent months setting up his "troll" my response was rather restrained.

Bennet please stop whining and moaning that I got TJ banned. I didn't. It was as much a surprise to me as it was to anyone when he got the boot. Fact of the matter is I was just the most vocal about it on the open forum. TJ pissed off dozens, possibly hundreds of people though, and many of them contacted c0ld directly. If you don't believe me, ask Avery.

Guys just bear in mind those are 3mm magnetic balls. Not 5mm. They will be harder to handle. Also according to reviews, the non standard coating tends to not hold up as well. Still, that's a great price.

Just bear in mind, mine are $5 for 125, and in very limited quantity. I'm also gonna need to charge for shipping... cheapest option for tracking is ~$3.

Well crap! I missed this whole thing! I need to drop in here more often. I subscribe to the eBay thread and totally forget to look here.

Back at Christmas, I got some of these and loved them, but not the price. So I did the Alibaba thing and ordered tens of thousands.

I gave a lot out as gifts, but I still have a few thousand in varying finishes and sizes. I also have at least >1,000 of the 6mm balls which I like a lot. I have a bunch of copper finished balls which are not my favorites because of the finish, and a bunch of zinc coated (bluish hue) and chrome (std) 5mm's as well. My favorites are the gold plated... No oxidization and shiny!

$5 a set was a great price! Even ordering as many as I did at one time, I probably paid ~$8 a set of 216.

Nope, several thousand 5mm balls really don't take up all that much room. In fact for transport they barely took up a bit more room than the larger hematite magnets in my second pic, and there are only ~40 of those...
