The cubes are frustrating. Please see if you can get me 4 sets of the ball though, that would be what I wouldve gotten in the sale :)

Fair chance they really are plain out of stock on the 125 sets now. I'll keep you guys posted though, and worst come to worst, I will be selling a bunch of mine after a short time doing magnetic sculptures with them.

5000 balls is only 24 packs. They are sold per 216 pieces. It is still a lot of balls. :D

No updates yet from customer service.

If you guys are considering buying now that they're back to normal price, you might want to see this first: Zen Magnets vs Buckyballs Comparison Video - YouTube

I watched the video.

I'm not out to defend buckyballs, and I thought the guy sounded like a complete prick on the recording, but still.

My observations...

First - Who cares about .01-.001mm differences? This difference is really impossible to perceive in their intended use as desk toys. Neither the zen, nor the bucky balls, would be accepted for any kind of industrial purpose requiring high precision.

Second - The stick test. With my well used 216 set, I got essentially the same results, 26 balls before it could not support itself. Same as the video. Minute difference in magnetism strength? Maybe. I don't know.

Just as we don't judge the power of a laser based on how fast it pops a balloon, using this test provides equally insubstantial results.

Third - Quality of the magnetism, the other "stick test" where hhe stick that is formed is completely straight, and does not wobble.

You'll note in the video the "warped" stick is shown as a static picture, yet when the other test is done, both look equally straight... that's very deceptive IMO :tsk:

Fourth - Finish. I don't have any zenballs, so obviously can't compare. What I can say is, after moderate use, the finish on mine, still appears fine.

Ultimately, while the approach of threatening a lawsuit is IMO a dick move, I think it is justifiable. If a claim is made, it should be proven, using clear objective methods.

5000 balls is only 24 packs. They are sold per 216 pieces. It is still a lot of balls. :D

The on sale sets were with 125 pieces, not 216. 5000/125 = 40.

I'll take a set or two after you "Use" em. :)

Lol, you got it.

Nope, the sets I got were 125 piece sets, not 216. Pretty easy to count them up though... just need to get to 20 or 25, after that, very easy with magnets.

He said 3x3x3 cube which is 27 packs, so $135 plus shipping. Cheaper than what many people spend on a single pointer.

It depends on how you look at it. That's why you look end-on at a piece of lumber to tell if it is straight, rather than length-wise.

Yup... only after decided to I want 5000.:p

I looked it every way... end on too.

What I'd love to see is an actual objective measure of the different magnets.

There are zen, nano, bucky, and other dots/balls out there. It would be good to know which are best. For myself though, these will do :D

Oh I though you get 6x6x6 cube (216) for $5 but it is actually a 5x5x5 cube. Still a good deal.

Hey there.

Wow! These sale prices have broken some serious records, and we have you to thank for it! As many orders as we got, we got even more questions about those orders. The good news? We have the answers. YAY, ANSWERS!

Please read the info below carefully~ there's important info you need to know about your order.

A few things to note:

1) ORDER CONFIRMATIONS :
-If you placed an order and your card has been charged, we got your order. Please allow 48 hours for your email confirmation to hit your inbox. Just as we're overloaded here at Bucky HQ, so are our servers!

-If you placed an order but your card has NOT been charged, we're sorry, but your order didn't go through. Feel free to use the code 'Bucky' at checkout on your next order to save 20%.

~If you think you placed a duplicate order, please wait for your order confirmations (see #1 above). We're trying to cancel duplicate orders upon request. If we're not able to catch it in time, please visit Buckyballs | Buckycubes | The Amazing Magnetic Desktoy You Can't Put Down for how-to's on returning your unwanted order.

2) IF YOU ORDERED BEFORE OR AFTER THE SALE, MISSED IT, OR WERE UNABLE TO PLACE YOUR ORDER ONLINE:
~If you missed the sale, were unable to place your order, or had placed an order before 9/20 at 1pm, we're sorry, but it was a limited time offer and as with all flash sales, it is not retroactive and expires at the end time listed in the email. PROMO CODES cannot be used in conjunction with the 9/20 email.
Keep an eye on your inbox for more fun tricks, though...we've got plenty up our sleeves!

3) IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE SeptTENber PROMOTION:
~We're sorry, but we have sold out of the 125s that were running for $10. We are unable to process backorders or rainchecks, but please keep an eye out for future promos. PROMO CODES CANNOT BE USED in conjunction with the SeptTENber sale.

4) IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR ORDER or ADD TO YOUR ORDER:
~Sorry, but it's too late to change your order. If you're unhappy with the selection, you can return it for a refund. Go to Buckyballs | Buckycubes | The Amazing Magnetic Desktoy You Can't Put Down for how-to's.

5) IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER:
~We're trying like crazy to dig through requests and cancel orders. If we can do it, we will. Promise! We'll let you know if we're able to catch the orders on time before they're sent to our warehouse.
Again, if we're not able to catch it, please visit Buckyballs | Buckycubes | The Amazing Magnetic Desktoy You Can't Put Down for how-to's on returning your order.

6) IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ON THE SITE:
~If you're looking for items but can't find them online, sorry! That means they're out of stock. As you can imagine, prices like these mean things get snatched up. Please check back in the next 3 weeks or so to see if we've replenished our stock.

7) SHIPPING:
-~Please be patient. We're working round the clock to ensure your order ships asap. Currently, orders will NOT ship for approximately 2 WEEKS. You'll get shipping confirmation when it does, and orders placed in the U.S will arrive in 2-7 business days after the ship date.
Orders placed separately will ship separately and will accrue applicable separate shipping charges. There's no need to panic, we promise..we're just overloaded and it's taking time to get all the orders out.

Lastly~phone calls and emails are being answered as quickly as possible. Please allow 48-72 hours for a response, should you have any further questions.

Happy ballin'!
Team Bucky

WARNING: Keep Away From All Children!
Do not put in nose or mouth. Swallowed magnets can stick to intestines causing serious injury or death. Seek immediate medical attention if magnets are swallowed or inhaled.

Looks like I'll be lucky to have my shipping combined.

Left them three messages, no responses as of yet.

There is a 20% off in there though.

If I'm able to get more on the phone from them, I'll let you guys know.

Updating list here for those who are interested as of right now;

Lol... you know what, if there is enough interest, why not.

I don't want to run a huge GB with thousands involved, (want to make sure I always have enough $$$ to cover everything:p) but for something smaller, with a few hundred involved... we can get a whole crapload of magnets.

First I REALLY want to see what 5000 of them will look like. Although I'll start with just 3375:p If that satisfies my curiosity I won't even open the other sets, and just resell them to whoever wants.

With the list being what it is, unless BB comes through though, I might need to limit it to 1 per person... when ordering them, one of the ways I rationalized it, was that I will give away one to each of my five coworkers... no worries though, my office is huge, but only five people :p
