i fell because the turn i was going onto at 20mph was rocky and wet, as there was a stream going across it. I fell off the ledge, and lo and behold there was a waterfall there. It was only around 10 feet but i somehow managed to escape with a broken front and rear mech, and chainring. I bent my disc brake too, but i wasn't hurt
:D

Hehe ;D

It's funny how most of the time its the bike getting hurt not the rider, but when it is the rider then it sucks. Glad to see you got through it without hurting yourself, pretty funny though, if you were to show the place u fell off, to someone who doesn't bike and tell them you didn't get hurt, they would probably have a hard time believing it :D.

I used to mountain bike a number of years ago (in high school) because my dad's big into biking.  I liked log hopping and jumping the small creeks :)

My dad now mostly road rides (which I'm guessing your bike is for robjdixon?).  He has some crazy carbon-fiber-everything bike made by Madone?  I don't know, he customizes his stuff all the time.  I do know the frame, fork, handle-bars, seat post, wheels, like everything except the gears, levers and chain, are carbon-fiber, lol.  I think even his water-bottle holders are carbon fiber! That and he was talking about this new force gauge system he has on there with GPS, HRM, etc too.  I'm sure he has >$5k in it.

It went for 132 pounds of something. Now it will take a 6,000 pound truck to move it :D
