The host looks unique somewhat, and the fact that they use 2x16340's I believe its definitely not DPSS.. 515nm 20mW for <$80 is the deal of the century, provided that its legit..

I'll say it looks pretty legit to me.. Nice find r4mn33k!

It could be true, but I've asked this aliexpress shop before about another item their 100% guranteed 500mW green lasers.

They said that they're actually 200mW+ and then said something like 500mW is impossible in a handheld and refered me to another item in their shop with they same price and datasheet, but different host and said that this is true 500mW. :thinking:

So I wouldn't trust everything they write.

I mean they are definitely not so stupid, that they can't look which kind of lasers are new and wanted by hobbiests like us.

I am thinking of buying this, but I dont know if I will be able to identify the difference between my 100mW 532nm and this one, I will talk to the seller personally and ask for further details

Well not hurting.....if i was hurting id be speaking to my parents (they are always there to help me out :)) I do have some bills coming up, like my new TV purchase and concert tickets that I bought for me and the girlfriends four year anniversary. Would be nice to sell a laser and or flashlight (havent listed any flashlights yet) so that I have $$$ to put towards those bills. Buying this laser would be a last priority.

I want a 520nm but wasnt thinking of getting one for at least another month or two

just the 2.16W 445nm at the moment. might sell a WL E2 Evo or Lazerer stick. Have a S06J diode I could sell as well......was hoping to build that laser though :(

Are these the same 515/520 diodes as dtr sells? :p if so we shoud harvest diodes from these lasers :eek:

I second that. cheaper than DTR's plus you get the salvage from the rest of the laser. if they really are...

I woudn't want one because 20mW is not enough for me
