Deal + Noob Reveiw

I bought these googles for my green lasers:
Green Blue Laser Eye Protection Safety Glasses Goggles - eBay (item 270719787819 end time Apr-12-11 18:21:08 PDT)

Really cheap (compared to what LPF-members were trying to get me to buy), and from what I can tell work Really, really well. I can 'just' make out the faintest spec on my green 5mW. My green 100mW on white paper looks more like one of those cheap gas station red lasers. And 50' I can no longer make out where the laser is; in-fact I first thought that my tape came off the laser button.

I know I'm new, but if this isn't protection I don't know what is. Anything strong and you want be seeing the impact point at all.

I hope this saves someone else $80+ like it did me :drool:

I'm weary of anything that doesn't list OD for different color bands. I'm sure the goggles will protect against some laser light but the question is what is the threshold? Thats an important question.

(I'm a bit new(b) to the laser hobby as well.)

You are exactly correct. Without testing, there is no way to determine what the stats are.

You may have to pay more for professional goggles, but at least you know your safe. And my eyes are worth well over $80.

That company has a bad rep too. Looks like another drop shipper.

Negative/Neutral Feedback received by itechlasers

After 30 or so very reasonable negative feedbacks, I cracked up at this one:
