Mine arrived today -- NICE!!! I didn't know it also has a 500 Hz test source like the big boys...... Very easy to adjust and well built.
Thanks --- Mike

BUTT Wait ----- at 9 volts input, it draws 140 mA. I turned it down to 7 volts and at 130 mA still works good. Very forgiving on input power.

Good info, this could be powered with a pair of protected 18650s and have decent lifetime.

edit: haha you had the same thought. does it have single trigger capabilities for capture?

I haven't found a single trigger feature yet. There are some threshold trigger features (I think) not yet explored here. Quit pushing me so hard !!!!! This is a toy for us.

if you want to build a very small enclosure, i suggest you to use cell phones spare batteries, like the one in the pic, that being flat, keep a lot less space with more current, and are all protected ..... and are also relatively cheap, actually.

I use them from some years in my buildings, with enough good results ..... just try to get them from the same production lot, when you use them in 2 or 3 pieces together, instead as single cell, for minimize troubles ;)

Edit, by the way, still no news from my shipment of the scope, damn .....

Got the scope, it's a nice DIY kit ..... and, for some miracle, it's arrived all integer, including the lcd :p :D

It look easy enough to mount, also if 90% is smd ..... the smallest parts are 1.5mm capacitors, all the rest is in a "human" 2mm size, so no particular difficults for mount it, with a plier and a small tip soldering tool (no damn 1mm x 0,4mm parts, that are the nightmare of any hobbyst, LOL) ..... also, the only part that can cause troubles to hobbysts, the atmel chip, is already in place, cause they need to program it, before send it to you :D

If i can found an hour of time, i mount it, and then say how it works ;) (and, if none already done it, maybe write also a little review :p)

BTW, maybe today i find some time for start to assemble it, clients permitting :D

if you're really upset about the $15 you can probably send an email to the owner and request to have the coupon code amount deducted from your order. if you ordered some what recently they probably wouldn't mind.. at least i wouldn't if someone asked me.

sk8 ---

I'm OK with my purchase. I am not being a bastard on them. I like what I got and I have no problems. My post was a joke.

You can drop over $15 at a restaurant or a good bar that fast.
