They are NEC which I don't believe is the BEST company ever, but at that price, who cares? Good luck.

I saw these last week. They look rather old. Rated for 1.5kv. I have some psu that would run these, but the tube doesnt have much plasma exposure and I have alot of red tubes around as it is....
Neat find though...

True, I didn't realize how little exposure it was till' I just took an extra look. Well, still a decent deal for those who don't have any.

I dont know anything about gas lasers but what would it cost to get one of these running?

I believe some people make their own drivers, but I'm not an expert on that. I'd try buying one that comes with a Power Supply, and then you can use that power supply to run all your lasers. Most power supplies are around 1.5-2kv i believe for these He-Nes and are low in mA. Different size tubes may vary. You can purchase the power supply separately, but you can't always find a good deal. If you see any for $40 and up, I wouldn't bother getting it since I've got a He-Ne w/ a power supply for a little under that price twice before.
