Does anyone know if it requires heatsinking? The seller doesn't mention anything about that so I am guessing he thinks it doesn't need it. Maybe it doesn't.
I will certainly be buying many of these if that is the case.

I asked :)

Hello Sir,
It's better you could find a heat sink to mount on it.
Any further questions please feel free let us know!

Robinson

So that's basically a "yes it requires heatsinking but we prefer to leave that part out of the description since it isn't a strong selling point."
Still a nice driver, I don't know why they don't just put that in the description so that people can use it properly. Without it the driver might overheat and cut out of regulation or worse.

Why not just use the $2 Dicksextreme driver? :)

Techood isn't chinese (or at least the one in amazon isn't) cause I ordered some nice oscope probes from them, got em quick. I'm sceptical about the driver but from my experience they are a good seller.

Shipping Time is a factor. Let's say I'm commissioned to build a 2W S4. Using this driver would push the completion date out at least 2 weeks. That's the primary concern here. Doesn't really have anything to with the actual country (for me) or even the price.
Now they might be nice to have on hand in my drivers drawer. Some testing needs to be done before I decide to start doing do.

I've bought LDs from them in the past and they ship
from China.

@yob..
All you need to do is stock up on the drivers then you
can use them when you need them without having to
wait for delivery.
You should see the number of common electronic parts
we have here in case we need them NOW....

I dont see any $2 boosts on Dx for that price, not even close to 1.5Amps anyways , or even if there are they are not tested for that matter..
Also the drivers currently we have here at lpf doent match the specs (excpt for the TPS63020 based) I think it is a good driver at that pricetag  !!
