I was looking through LED Shoppe this morning, when I noticed that they also sell green laser pointers. Apparently, they are having a sale on all green laser pointers, with 5mW going for $13 and 30 going for $20. Who knows if the advertised power is the actual power, but it's pretty cheap, and you wouldn't have to worry about all the DX/KD/whatever warnings.

What kinda glasses does one need for 30 mw green, or the 50 mw :). Thanks.

IMHO, you don't need safety glasses with a 50mW greenie, just be careful with and don't do anything stupid with it.

This is what I'm hoping to do. When you get them, could you describe their quality for me? Are they well built? If you had planned on testing them before wrapping, could you tell me if they are over- or underpowered?

I just ordered one a few days ago...

Its a Chinese company, so I'm guessing shipping will be similar to DX,

I would think that you would need safety glasses for a 50mW green. A direct hit in the eyes could easily leave a permanent blind spot.

And yeah, shipping is similar to DX. Slow. Took like 2 weeks for my flashlight to get here, but unlike DX where one item was broken at arrival and the other broke soon after, the flashlight was in good condition and works perfectly.

i just recieved my 30mW greenie today, im not at my house to test it and i wont be until tomorrow but it shipped to pennsylvania in 8 days. so i dont know how long it will take to other places but it is a legit company

just thought id keep you guys updated, i tested my 30mW greenie today and wow is it bright for 20 bucks. you can see the beam in clear daylight when your inside. its awesome for the price
