brtaman, thanks for the warning , of course i am aware of the dangers inherent with IR & lasers but it doesn't hurt to state the danger especially in light of my post.
I tend to take it for granted that the majority of members on this board are well aware of the dangers (myself included!), in hindsight it would be a safer bet to take it for granted that they aren't.

I was of course wearing my safety glasses which offer IR protection in addition to their green + blu-ray protection (i dont usually wear glasses unless i am burning or playing with spiro's or a new/unknown laser) , i grabbed my camera phone to confirm that IR was being emitted and of course i had to take a pic.

Oh and KD replied to my email, the laser is packed up and will shortly be winging its way back to hong kong "for testing"

Idk, I'm actually starting to like it. I mean, I think it's quite a nice host... I'm not sure if other people's were lesser quality, but I feel like mine is great. Also, it seems quite bright to me. I've been running it with 2x RCR123a's. YES, 2x RCR123a's, not one. It's been holding up fine, and looks slightly brighter than my DX True 100mW, and slightly brighter than my O-Like, custom made green which uses a 90-100mW module (but at the end, it is being run through a glass disc, the part of a flashlight, and so... it's also WATERPROOF - pretty awesome in the pool.). Sorry for straying off-topic but, I'm just saying that I think it was a Decent deal for a pretty powerful laser, in a nice quality host (I sure as hell think it's better than the dilda's.) Also, for those who HAVE received it, I don't want to give bad advice or anything but, I've run mine on 2x 3.6V RCR123a's and I think it def. gives out more power than on one. I know Pheonix77 also did that on his, and he said he measured his at 110mW Peak and 99mW Steady.

I got my LaserBee yesterday so I checked the output of the Toplaser 301. I got 70mw no matter if I used one battery or two batteries. I really would have liked to see at least half the rated power but for $54 a 70mw greenie in a nice host isn't TOO bad.

I really like this laserpointer:
nice host, heavy duty and nice build quality.
Mine came at 93mW average, peaks at 110mW (18650 freshly charged battery)
For this price: you cant find a nicer laserpointer ($/mw or $/design)

Really? Nobody else mentioned this. Does the laser have o-rings at the threads on the body?

The steady power independant of battery voltage is a good sign... but the power readings people are getting are disappointing for a product marketed as 200 mW. All in all it seems like a decent deal really, 70-100 mW for $54... they should just label it 100 mW and it'd be a fair deal with good value.

Personally i'm going to pass this one - i have a couple of greens with similar power so it wouldn't add much.

Mine never arrived, but the two small led items were in a small shipping envelope. Did not look opened, just missing the laser. Package was very small for a boxed laser and two other items.

2 weeks for Kaidomain customer service reply and he (Jerry) wants me to photograph Items enclosed and packaging which was trashed. Needless to say these guys are off my buy list! You may be luckier and the results may vary.

Hello Jerry,

I am sorry that I am unable to photograph the package as it was not saved for evidence. What is the mystery with the package were it's contents. A small typed pack slip. It did reference all 3 items, however the word laser was struck out with a black ink pen. Again a small shipping envelope would not have held a boxed laser along with 2 LED's.

Rest assured that I am not worried about the $53 dollars. At 50 years of age the loss won't break my heart or budget.

I have purchased many lasers from Focal Price, O-like.com, ledshoppe they all arrived without any confiscation by U.S. Customs. Perhaps our transaction did not make it through Customs and was repackaged by them. I am uncertain if Customs leaves a confiscation note or sticker.

I will let my friends on Laser Pointer Forums know in the review section that my laser did not arrive for reasons unknown.

Sorry, it appears our business transaction failed to meet my needs.

At 50 years of age you should have known to keep everything as is when there is a problem with a mail order. Businesses make mistakes but you need proof they did before they will honor replacement. Peoples word isn't good enough anymore. Sorry you had trouble.

Sportcoupe you are correct: always, always saving everything. My loss for sure without proof. I always save wrappers and packaging when something is not right.

Except this time I was hiding the mailer from my wife. Anyone else know this drill? She really doesn't mind my purchases, but she enjoys harassing me about the volume of packages.

I quickly snatched the bag out of the mailbox leaving the rest and opened it in my truck. This shipping bag was a small 3"x5" with an invoice the size of a playing card that looked like it was typed on an old ribbon typewriter!

I believe a McDonalds bag in the backseat sucked it in.....I have not at all pushed the guy to replace item. More interested in questioning and retracing the delivery process. Was there a back order? US Customs? Just looking for clues and found nothing.

Cheers
