You want to try making a few lasers for my project?
I am needing at least a 100mw green laser for my project. It needs to be able to mount on a regular (1") rifle scope mount. I want to try different colors to test them for my application during daylight hours.
This project will last about a year during the winter months so about 3 years total time.

If interested, please email me at nsauceman@yahoo.com

Thanks!!

If you are mounting it on a rifle you will want to make sure the unit can handle the repeated recoils.;)

I think green would have a hard time with the winter and recoil issues.

445nm FTW :) You don't have to worry about dpss or mode hopping.

445nm is not good for laser sights.
It consumes too much power for a compact battery source and the visibility to power ratio is very low compared to green. Not to mention, it is next to useless in daylight due to it's short wavelength and poor divergence.

DPSS green is the best way to go.
If built well, 532nm DPSS will have no problem dealing with environmental factors or recoil. Otherwise, green laser sights and target markers would not be in use on shooting ranges and in warfare.

As much as I hate wicked, the green spyder has great shock resistance. Also, O-lke gatlin would do it for cheaper if you need to save money.

Who has tested this?
And why would you want to mount something so big and bulky to your rifle? Not to mention... where can you find a rifle mount for it?

May I throw out another suggestion?
An EOtech sight may be much better depending on your application.
Laser sights are cool, but they just can't compete.
