WL malfunction...

I just bought a WL Ev 95Mw, and after 1 day it kind of stopped working. Sometimes it works, but i have to keep pressing the bottom cap, which makes me believe that the batteries have a bad contact. I've already talked with them and they said to send it back, but I would like to know if anyone have suggestions before I do that... it's just too troublesome to send it, etc.

Thanks!

you should try getting some brass cleaning compound and clean the threads of the battery cap, the inside of the battery cap, and wipe the ends of the batteries to ensure you get good electrical contact

Find yourself an appropriate size/shape spring, preferably a cone shaped one, but one thats columnar with large coils will work OK also, put it in the bottom battery cap, & see if that helps! ( I bet it fixes your problem for you! ) phoenix77/rob  Please keep me posted by PM. I'd be interested to know if I helped you or not, OK? Thanks, rob

Lots of folks have used a small piece of aluminum foil with great success...

I've tried that, and it didn't work well... I might try again... (to the quoted text)

Brass cleaning didn't work

The spring idea looks good, but I don't know where to get one XD

Oh, an interesting note, when I use the cap from my CORE, it works almost always, but it doesn't really fit, so it's useless =( (really mad about this problem...) :'(

Try taking the spring out of a large ink pen, & stretching it out some so it puts good pressure on the batteries. p-77/rob

Nothing works, I've tried with every spring I found, each time it seems to work less frequently, I'm very disappointed with this, I mean, how can it start this problem out of nowhere? :-/

Because its A WL laser, they dont have great reputation around here, except for their lower powered core series, which everbody seems to like ;D

yeah, try not buying a WL, that will probably fix it right up. Get a refund and buy from nova or Dragon lasers.

Yah, the CORE works wonderfully... I'll see if a refund is possible... but I don't think it will work :-[

I was ready to get that DX red 200mW, but I guess it's better to wait until I solve this s***

I sent a message asking for refund, I hope they don't cause any trouble or I'll have to spend hours with the Credit Card company to try to suspend the payment (I hope that's possible if I need...) :-[
Let's see what happens next...
