why no one talk about the EANDEAVOR?

hello boys :)
i am thinking that everytime i enter in this site.....after time... i never see new threads about a special laser.
the novalaser endeavor. why? it seems to be one of the most attractive PEN laser. generally pens are max 170mw about... but this pen can reach 300mw!

i purchased some months ago by rayfoss an FMK ( skylasers.net style) green laser at 300mw. but i never catty it with me because is is TOO BIG :(

....i would love to have a 300mw endeavor.. but also a 250mw. i understand that is is not so cheap... but it is strange that no one talk about it.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: is possible to have this laser directly from cni? maybe from the group buy? and what should be the price?

I would think a 300mW pen would have a 10 second duty cycle. I dont know the math, but I'd guess the pump diode would be in the watt range.

I couldn't imagine a 300mW green pen. It's like almost asking for failure. I wonder what the failure rate is on those lol.

Not necessarily.
They are in a larger host than the typical 13mm diameter pens.
I own a CNI 589nm which is built with the same pen casing. This one draws 1.25A from the battery (indicating a 1W diode) and can be run continuously for a couple minutes before it starts to get too warm.

300mW could be accomplished with a 1-1.2W pump.

Also, the IR pumps are more efficient than the blue diodes.
Those output 3W of heat for 1W out. IR diodes need much less voltage (1.8 - 2.2V) and the light output increases almost linearly current.
At 1W of light you will be getting only about 1.2W of heat.

The heat-sinking capability of the host is not exceeded by the heat produced by the diode and some are building 1.5W 445s in similar size flashlights.

That's correct.
It's a CR2 battery host. I have one, bought directly from CNI.

Great laser, awesome beam specs! Burns, burns and burns some more.
CR2 battery last a good long time too. I have not had any issues with heat, but I keep the duty cycle under a minute.

It LPM'd peak @ 302mW and stabilized @ 290mW.
Paid $700 though, but I like it.

This Eandeavor sounds like a CR2 host I would like to have...sadly it is too steap for my pockets right now...and I am also suprised by the duty cycles, like Ignis Fatuus, I thought...

I would think a 300mW pen would have a 10 second duty cycle. I dont know the math, but I'd guess the pump diode would be in the watt range.

But if you say it has a longer duty cycle, being a CR2 host rather than a 2x AAA host, that could be possible...
