I have a cheap china laser for almost 3 months, and this yesterday, i turned it on for a couple of seconds and the light suddenly dimmed, it doesnt make any beams anymore. I tried to recharge the battery and still, no luck.

The question is.. what is the main reason for this?
thanks... more power!!

probably cause its a "cheap china laser" lol. you might have inserted the batteries the wrong way, or maybe you damaged the diode in some way. try new batteries, like not recharge them but buy a completly new set

after searching the web, i found out that the typical battery voltage should be 3V and my battery is almost 3.7v and i fully charged it so it reached 4.2 v and it burned out..

how sad,

thats the normal charge of a 3.7V battery. There isnt a typical battery, there are 3V, 3.6V, 3.7V... What type of battery did you use, and what type of laser is it for?

i used cr123A battery and it indicates that the voltage of a full charge is 4.2 and the minimum voltage is 2.75V

my battery came from my previous laser which is rated to use for 3.7V

You're supposed to use primaries for those -.- 3V primaries, to be specific.

I have similar prolblem too. I bought ebay pen laser for 7bucks and used about couple month with simple nonrechargeable aaa 1.5V batteries. But now, about 2 weeks I used 1.6V rechargeable AAA batteries from ebay. Beam was realy stronger. but yesterday when I pick up my laser it shoots so dimm. It become very dimm... Tried change batteries but nothing. :( Very sad, I like that laser.

lool all these guys with their dim lasers. main problem would be that you overpowered your laser and it killed the diode.

If its a super cheap laser, you might have damaged it by reversing the batteries. I had a 50mw red that I did that to and boom, no worky. Try what was said above, new batteries and see if that fixes the problem.

When you pay under $10 for a laser you gets what you gets. We call them throw away lasers. Because they are so cheap you can throw one away, and buy another. If you want a decent laser be prepared to spend over $10, LOL.
