thanks everyone, i'm probably getting one now :) my mum came round abit, i'm still not quite sure yet, but most likely I am.

does anyone have one of the lyra series by laserglow? I'm thinking on getting one, I was gonna get a galileo but their all sold out, I dont really like the look of the novalasers 5mW.

thanks

I have a lyra G 4.5mw from laserglow.
Pros: It looks good and is high quality in general. You can also easily see the beam at night if you point it into the sky.
Cons: high price.
Overall: A cool green laser pointer to use in presentations and impress your friends with. Also it is reasonably safe.

If you want a cheaper pointer you should get the dealxtreme 5mw pointer. Those have some Quality control issues though and can be anything from 5-15+ mw with no IR-Filter. Basically you get what you pay for.

WAIT! Save the couple grand and get whatever is the biggrst, baddest laser at the time. See the thing is when you get into this you always want MORE POWER! So you can buy a whole bunch and work your way up...or just wait and get a buttload of power one time. I have a 300mw green and you would think thats plenty. It ain't.
