This is really putting me down. This is the third day I've owned this laser and I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be happening.

well the line is just crap on the lense. get a qtip and clean it, do circles gently first then randomly do a grid like pattern all the way across and check it until the line goes away.

No that line was just from the camera sorry. I'm talking about the huge circle around the normal dot. If you look there's three parts of green. The white overexposed part, the solid green and the outer green circle. It's never done that outer circle before. Should I send it back? And I can't get the cap off how can i clean it?

Wash your hands dry them to eliminate any sweat etc., then try a coffee machine filter paper (a new one, obviously) roll it to a point and swizzle it in the aperture.

If it's from a stack of coffee filters, pick one from the pile that's one or two down in the stack so it's lint and dust free. works better for me than a q-tip.

My coffee filters are like paper so it's not going to work. Qtips don't fit and I tried a tissue but it didn't really help. It made like crosshairs almost.

it's called scatter, it's normal for a green laser. if you think it's really bad, the only thing you can do is clean the lens. there is nothing wrong with the laser

Yes, unless your coffee filters are like copy paper, that's what I meant. The slightly stiff one's work better. Because it's a food-grade product, it's very clean, dustless, and will wipe any contaminants off the lens.

roll it into a point like when you try to clean your ear with a Kleenex.

The GOOD NEWS is, that if unsuccessful attempts to clean the pointer changes the scatter around the beam, that means it most likely is just dirt on the lens.

Cleaning it out wasn't affecting the scatter just the "crosshairs" so I blew in it and I've figured out that it's now condensation. So what's my best bet... Keep using the laser so the condensation clears out or let it sit for a day or two?

When my laser lens was filled with condensation, I let it sit overnight and it was gone. But if it's dirty unscrew the top cap and use a barely damp q-tip, I do it all the time and it works great on my laser.

Do I need to take off the warning sticker because I don't see any way of me taking this cap off without doing so. It feels like it's been locktighted on.

I don't think you will need to remove your sticker, the cap should just unscrew. Mine felt tight at first but once you unscrew it the first time it unscrews easy everytime after that.

Ok I got the cap off I guess when I was trying to take it off I moved the module or something to that effect (I moved the entire black piece at the top) and now my laser switches modes in like 1 second every time I turn it on.

[EDIT] It's not switching to the two dot mode either there are now three dots. AHHH! What should I do?

You have low batteries. My laser does that after about 10 minutes of use, that is why I love rechargeable. Mine starts off with 2 dots, then goes to three than 4. Switch the batteries and you should be fine.

I just put a brand new set of charged batteries in and it still switches mode. Who thinks I should get it replaced?
