They are cheap because they are mass produced so much in China. The barrels are hard to take apart but they still do make a good host.

There basically the same as DX pointers, cheaper because they bought in bulk. DX just raises there prices for a profit, but its just a pile of junk really. Take the risk and buy on i would like to see the quality.

Use it as a "throw down",

when the cops try to mess with you, you give up the 5mW
& keep your good powerful one. ;)

Australian buyers attention please, we advise you not to take the risk to violate new laws by buying this item, as it is forbidden to import laser pointers above 1mW to Australia since Jul 1st, 2008. Thank you.

Took the chance, tho i got the same thing for 5buks (5mw green), and when I first powered it up on fresh batteries the laser is nice and strong then the beam dims by half almost instantly, never really seen lasers before so I dunno what 5mw looks like so I presume after it dims its at 5mw's.

Took it outside on a clear night and when I first turned it on you could see the beam, then when it dimmed the beam was quite faint, however after looking over the forum a 5mw really shouldn't have a beam u can see at night clearly?

Well in pitch black it has a nice beam but outside it has a very dim beam unless its pointed at you =]

Gotta work up to 10 posts to show my video :D

Mainly got it to mess with the cat, so with it being dim is fine by me. But after awhile u start to think what can u do with it. ;D

WOW... i don't think so ... lol that is a big jump

my dx 30 mw green kinda dims slowly over about 2 mins (i think it is heat)

that looks like it is a power spike or something ... not sure maybe i am wrong

Is it normal?
I don't think that's normal... If I were you I would return the laser.
No biggie, 4 buks, it would costs more to ship it back
Oh, ok. I thought it was some DX laser or at least something worth money.
