after the dim that looks to be about 0.5-1mW, so yea it's pretty bad

When we were out camping I had my Alpha125 in one pocket, and a "true 30" in the other... in the unlikely event Johnny Law came to see what was up with the green beams, the Alpha would be tossed into the weeds (for later retrieval) and Johnny only knows of a True30. Much less to 'give up' if Johnny decided to violate my 4th amendment and confiscate my lawfully owned property for doing nothing more than star pointing.. but anyway... yea - having a 'sacrificial lamb' is never a horrible idea at all. And at $12, that would be a fine deal
I find it best to just use my good lasers far away from populations. It's smarter, and safer... and much less risky, period. But when camping, the kids like to see it - so I bring it... along with a "patsy laser". So far, no worries. Never had an issue - but than again - I am not doing stupid things with my lasers either...
