the question is: what laser gives the most real power mW/€ between 50mW/200mW (but considering first the ones near 200mW) range??

for example, if i have to choose between a real 50mW for 25 € and a "200mW stated" which really is underpowered to 80mW for 40€, i would choose the second, maybe even it is 80mW for 45€....

i discard red cause i heard that 200mW red is visible as 20mW green.

there are so many DX, focalprice, etc models which probably are underpowered, but they have more mW/€ than for example, this (50mW from ledshoppe) or not?

http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/ledp/LP1076.htm

and what about this?

http://www.rayfoss.com/productn.asp?ArticleID=6

and this?

http://www.focalprice.com/detail_LP165B.html

anybody knows?

First post, I have a similar question I've been trolling these forums for the past couple days, I Want to spend no more than 150$usd I've looked at rayfoss and o-like, I Do not have a laser tester so I don't like the idea of risking a purchase of a laser that could be underspec, and then being stuck with it and unable to prove or return it. However at that price point all the higher end lasers have low mW lasers for that price. I just spent $5.75 on ebay for a cheapy... I had to its buyer protected... Just was sent... I don't think its review worthy.

DMdevotee look at this http://laserpointerforums.com/f45/guide-buying-your-first-green-laser-30608.html Still nothing beats another person giving some advice.

Guess I'll make my first post here too. I have been following this forum for weeks and just today got my account activated (i was wondering why it never let me post replies to any thread).

Since I was in the same boat and wanted a 200mW green laser for the cheapest price possible, I looked at all the suggestions and read through so many threads until I finally purchased a laser from laserlands. This is a link to the laser I bought 3in1 200mW Military Tactical Laser/Torch/Projector - $89.99 : Laserlands however it was 79.99 when I ordered it.

I wish I could tell you it is amazing and you should go with it, however I have yet to receive it, so I'm just hoping for the best. The reason I ordered this versus other lasers is the fact that this was the only high powered lasers I could find at the cheapest price which also could support caps which allow for interesting patter designs. I also purchased 4 extra caps from the same website.

Hope all works out well.

Personally I don´t think that this laser outputs more than 100mW. But maybe you can send it to a LPF member who is able to test it with a laserpointmeter.

Do they test them for free? minus the s/h of course.

I can´t talk for them, but you should ask Nefarious or phoenix77. He is going to test it for free if you do a lil review on the laser.

I have bought numerous 150mw/ 200mw green laser pointers/ torches from Laserlands.com.
I have been extremely satisfied with the quality for the price. The 3in1 Military torch and the 150mw laser pointer (about $65) have the same beam. Very visible, even in the daylight. Scares birds at quite a distance. ;)
My favorite is the 200mw waterproof, adjustable green torch. About $200, but very solid and the adjustable beam can project a point down the street. Compared to many of these other 'cheap' laser companies, I have to give Laserlands.com the bigger "thumbs up". The Customer Service is top notch, and product is shipped almost immediately. Contact Merry for info. I have not heard of anyone that has had any unresolved problems.
The reason I first tried Laserlands.com is because of horrible service from other companies. As of today, I am still waiting delivery of a 95mw Wicked Laser Nexus (bought from a different reseller- check my other blogs...) that was ordered last October. I received an underpowered unit, and returned it. I then received a unit with a chipped lens. Returned again. Now I am waiting for delivery again. What a mess. Since my original order with this company with horrible results, I have placed and received about 6 different orders with Laserlands.com. I have not had any problems whatsoever with any of these orders.

Well I'm really happy to hear that Laserlands is reputable. However, I have sent a couple of email to Merry that have gone unanswered

I was wondering how long shipping took to the US- I was told by Merry I would receive the laser within 5-7 days if I selected the first shipping upgrade option to EMS rather airmail. She still hasn't followed up on the emails though.

What confuses me about the laser I bought is that it was listed as 150mW, and then as 200Mw suddenly after a couple of days. The email inquiring about that was answered by a- "we tested the laser and found out that it outputs more than 150mW." I asked in an unanswered email what the true output was before shipment- more than 150mW does not mean 200mW.

Looking at the website today they have 150mW and 200mW versions of this lasers. Seems peculiar. I just hope I get my product and it works well!

I agree with you rff3rd, if the power is anywhere between 150-200 it is a great deal, and I have done comparing to wicked lasers and such so I know.
As for the shipping:
Your item left BEIJING EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP on February 9, 2010. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

What do you think I can expect as the date of receiving my package?

Also, you stated that you had purchased the 150mW 3 in 1 torch before, I was wondering what you think of it overall. thx

The 3in1 torch is powerful. Can pop balloons on contact. The LED flashlight is sufficient, but not overly bright, but works fine. The star caps are ok if that is what you want, but it comes off and screws onto the butt end for storage.
I bought two. It is a keeper. Can't beat it for the price. My favorite is the Military Grade waterproof, adjustable 200mw for about $168. It is heavy, knurled aluminum. Feels solid.
The 3in1 is also aluminum, but lighter and not adjustable, but throws a beam a great distance. You'll like it, and come back for more. Let me know if you want any other info.

the "laser king militare grade" has powerfull beam than "3in1"?

Chinese New Year--you will hear back from Merry right after the NY's over -i am sure.--I have the KIng 200mW green module--BIG- heavy (66 grams!) with large Heatsink-I will post a review in the next few days-(my kenometer is on the way!!!) prelim testing was fine-very bright- my present meter does not allow me to measure it ATM. I ditto all the good comments about Laserlands. the 30 mW green 'disco' is actually very nice(25$) -my review will be added to Alberts w/video-you can 'play' it to the music by gently tapping with one finger to the beat--D/R cycle IMO should be around 30 seconds on and 45 off just to be safe. no heatsink inside so treat it like a 30 mW pointer.--BTW King module is 128.$ on sale.. What is the duty cycle of the 3in1? Also, why is this laser so cheap, it is the cheapest 200mW laser I have EVER seen ANYWHERE!

IIRC my Laserland order took about 20 days to get to Texas- the tracking info stayed the same until the same day it arrived- Not Merrys fault-just pretty much the way it works. I recommend not looking at the tracking info every day-just makes the wait seem even longer--LOL--if customs does not mess withit you may see it in a few days---as for the duty/rest cycle-- no heatsink=don't push it-- my first eekbay greenie lasted only one evening--I'd say to play it safe 30 seconds continouse use and 60 off. Better safe than LEDed.--let us know when you get it and how you like it--HZ <(^U^)> ps lots of friendly SoCal LPFers with meters to test it for free(except shipping) right Dave??
