What do you think of this laser?

No, never bought from ledshoppe, sorry. Yes egay is ebay, not sure of a specific seller for the violets but I can check, I bought a few, all overspec.
Blue and violet are different colors, blue is 473nm and violet/blu-ray is 405nm. Violets are cheap, especially the cheapo china ones. And as I mentioned you can make your own violet laser as well. Blue on the other hand, is most likely out of your price range at the moment. Even in the group buys, for blue, expect to pay several hundred dollars for a rather low rated output.

EDIT: I completely forgot, you can PM swimminsurfer, he sells green and violet lasers, all different outputs, all LPM tested, and shipped from USA.

lol I recommended to LEDShoppe to go stock up on high quality blue-violet lasers and I might get a 50mw blue-violet from swmminsurfer maybe but not for a while for sure.
