So by good looking I mean I want to see it well in dark rooms and outside at night. Burning matches sounds pretty cool but not a big deal if I can't. From my research so far it seems like green is the best bang for your buck color and I found three lasers I want opinions on or any other suggestions are good.

First one I saw recommended on the forums but I don't know if I want to wait for it to come back in stock: SFCG-100 532nm Green

The second one seems to be a cheaper Chinese Brand but is $30 only: 100mW 532nm Mid-open Fixed Focus Green Laser Pointer Pen at Laserpointerpro.com

And the third is one of those little ones from wicked lasers, the core. I seriously can't find it on the desktop site, the mobile site says it's in stock but $50 is kind of steep for me right now.

I'm not wild about the idea of building my own but if someone could help me pick out compatible parts and it'd save me some money I'd think about it harder.

Just a FYI, that laser is eye safe but is 10x under the power you need for lighting a match on fire. I know you said its not a big deal but you might as well know up front. Its 3-5mW which IMO is a GREAT first pointer since its 100% safe to use without safety glasses

Yea when I was on sflaser he had some handy charts that showed what all the different powers were good for. I don't think I need that kind of power in my hands.

I dont recommend power for a first laser anyways so the LG laser is a PERFECT first laser! They are quality lasers and if handled well, will last a while, if not forever!
