Finally received the 2 modules and they are 80 and 106mw:)
Didn't mess with the pot of the 106 but played with the 80 but it was allready set "hot"
As others may have said, the pot is VERY touchy so mess with at your own risk.

Nice job, Pman. I realize so many folks have had things go wrong while pot modding, but I tell ya, I must have a freak pot on mine. I didn't realize how shitty an old battery was when I was potting mine. I just frustrated as it continued to dim, and thought I'd already killed another one.

So, I cranked away...and away...and away. I finally figured out what I had done, and started threading the pot back in. I got it back to near where it was, then put on a fresh battery. I quickly found the "hot" spot and walked the hell away!

So, it's running stable and hot and didn't suffer from my gorilla hands all over it.

Not that I am recommending this kind of behavior for others...

My issue with this. What if Fasttech uses this opportunity to sell their over spec modules for more. Right now we can get ~100mW for 10 bucks. If they sell higher ones they might just take the ones they already have and bin them for power.

That's a legit concern if this is something they have done in the past with anything they sell. Haven't been at this long enough to know how much bait and switch some of the supliers have done in the past. Would like to see some comments from others about this potential issue with Fasttech in particular.
The bottom line on this deal is I haven't come across any 532 this cheap with such a low IR and decent stability.
Did order 3 more a few days ago and they have shipped:)

The way I figure, with prices on components continually dropping, and the market being flooded with so many CHEAP (ASS) modules out there, they can afford to release these better build modules. That, and they probably saw the Osram PL520 coming from a mile away.

no i'm not to worried about them binning modules! there have to many products and not enough time to do something like that. I wouldn't think twice about paying $20-30 for a 200mW or something like that! I don't think others would either, because that's still like $30-40 less then everywhere else and they are consistently good quality if not there are good about making it right!!

Voted! It would be sick if we could get some 200mW modules for 30 bucks!
