Well after some trial & error I managed to get this series of photos of my laser lighting a match. Used my Optotronics 170mW laser pen.

Enjoy!

Nikon D3 digital camera
2500th second ISO 640
200mm f/2.8 lens @ f/6.3
Processed with Nikon Capture NX2 & Photoshop CS3

WOW!!! Those are amazing! I love the smoke curling down the stick in your solo image.

I just held the button down on the camera and shot at continuous high setting which is 9 frames per second.

Awesome photos! I'm always impressed by your pictures. If I wasn't so poor I'd invest in a good camera... that's just amazing.
